Come join us in celebrating the Easter holiday by bringing your little ones to participate in our Easter Egg Hunt. Children will be divided into select age groups. Special prizes for select eggs in each age group. The Easter Bunny will also be available for photos so remember to bring your camera.

It’s an egg hunt for your furry children! Dogs will be allowed to “find” as many treats as possible in the hunt area. Dogs MUST remain on leashes at all times. After the hunt ends, each dog will receive a doggie bag to take home. Owners assume all responsibility for their dog’s behavior. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations; proof of rabies and distemper are required. Please no retractable leashes. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.

What better way to cool down on a hot summer day than to take a dip in the Bunny Davis Pool! Our pool season will kick off on Friday Night!! Prizes will be given to the lucky winners who find the right rubber ducks throughout the event. Prizes will include family and individual season passes, individual single day passes, and other surprises. Food and beverages will be available. Fun family and individual games throughout the evening. Come out for a great start to the 2020 Bunny Davis Pool season!

After a great response, and over-whelming turn out at last year's fishing tournament, Orange Leaf and Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation department are looking forward to more Fishy Fun this year. Last year, over 60 children received free Zebco fishing gear courtesy of Orange Leaf, as well as hundreds of dollars in prizes.
This year's tournament will be for ages 12 & under and will promote family, fun, and conservation. Each child will receive a free rod and reel and chances to win prizes through raffle drawings. In addition, many awards will be given out throughout the event, including Most Fish (Grand Prize), Biggest Fish, and Smallest fish. No fishing license is required for this event; however, you

National Night Out started in 1984 as a means for First-Responder awareness events to be celebrated across the country and is designed to get people out of the house and involved with their community Emergency Service Staff. This year the Parks and Recreation staff is teaming with the local Police, Fire, and EMT personnel, and many other community organizations to host a “Block Party”.
Activities are still be planned, but we hope you will mark your calendar to come out and enjoy food, drink, music, games and activities as we wrap up the summer by showing our support to our local Emergency Staff.

As the summer comes to an end it is time to close the pool, but not before our 4-legged friends have their chance to enjoy the water. Join the Parks and Recreation staff as we send Christmas cards to our soldiers around the world. Staff will have cards available at the Bunny Davis Center front desk for individuals to sign and attach a brief note for our soldiers everywhere. To conclude the week, we will have a children’s workshop where kids (and adults) can make personal cards and notes.
